Arrival
As you enter the driveway, pull up at the first building on your left to unload, and park in the adjacent carport. If we haven't seen you arrive, ring the bell at the door to the main house a bit further up the driveway.
Best cycle route
Cycling to us from Te Aroha? You can take SH26 and use the broad shoulders, but there are a couple of bridge pinch points which makes the route a bit unpleasant with high speed cars & trucks roaring past.
Better is to take the rural back roads. From the cycle trail terminus at the old Te Aroha railway station:
Cycle south-west along the off-road path, and cross Terminus St at the Skate Park
Proceed over the old railway bridge across the Waihou River. Take care - the bridge is only 1.5m wide so you may need to slow/dismount for pedestrians and barrier posts
Merge into Spur St and turn turn right into Stanley Ave
Left into Te Kawana Rd, but don't stop at the Strawberry BnB - that's not us!
Left into Ngutumanga Rd
Right into Bailey Rd
Left into Thomas Rd and look for Number 256.
This is a flat route of under 11km, taking around 35 minutes.
